Privacy Policy

EpubTidy stores and processes your imported EPUB files, book contents, metadata, covers, collections, tags, reading progress, reading history, and app preferences locally on your device.

We do not receive or remotely access this information, and EpubTidy never uploads the EPUB file or its contents to us.

You can delete individual books from EpubTidy or the iOS Files app. Removing EpubTidy deletes its locally stored app data from your device, subject to backups managed through your Apple settings.

Book Match is an optional online feature. When you choose to use it, EpubTidy sends a book title, author name, or ISBN to Apple’s book search service to find matching metadata and cover suggestions.

Your EPUB file, book text, library, collections, tags, and reading activity are never included in the search. If you select a suggested cover, EpubTidy downloads that image from the address provided by Apple.

Like any internet request, Apple may receive technical information such as your IP address and request details. Apple handles this information under its Privacy Policy and Apple Books privacy information.

EpubTidy accesses only the EPUB files and cover images that you choose through Apple’s system file or photo picker.

When you export a book, the iOS share sheet sends the file only to the app, service, or device that you select. The chosen recipient’s privacy policy applies after the file is shared.

Reading reminders are scheduled on your device. Read Aloud uses system text-to-speech and does not use the microphone or record your voice.

EpubTidy does not require an account and does not use third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Period.

If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and attachments that you choose to provide. We use this information only to respond to your request and retain it only as long as reasonably necessary for support or legal purposes.

You may ask us to delete a support conversation at any time by contacting us at the address below, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Apple processes Book Match search requests under its own privacy policy and retention practices. We use this service only to provide the metadata and cover suggestions described above.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. Most EpubTidy data is stored only on your device and can be managed directly by deleting books, changing app permissions, or removing the app. For support information held by us, contact us using the email address below.

Children’s Privacy: EpubTidy is a general-audience book utility and is not specifically directed to children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it where appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy if EpubTidy’s features or privacy practices change. The latest version will always show its effective date at the top of this page.
